Crypto Mining temporarily closed for self inspection in Sichuan Province

Chinese officials are continuing to tighten down on cryptocurrency mining, with local Bitcoin (BTC) mining rigs being shut down in Sichuan province.

Authorities in Ya’an City, a township metropolitan area in Sichuan province’s southwestern part, have ordered local Bitcoin mining businesses to shut down for investigation, according to the Chinese financial website Sina Finance.

The Sichuan Ya’an Energy Bureau and the Sichuan Ya’an Science and Technology Bureau met and agreed to clean up and rectify Bitcoin mining operations in Ya’an. Sichuan Ya’an has enacted a “one size fits all” policy for mines, requiring that all mines be shut down by the 25th, including the use of energy and hydropower abandonment.
